Know before you buy.
Is this an Apple AirTag?
No. It is a third-party Bluetooth tracker compatible with Apple Find My. It is not an official Apple accessory and does not carry MFi certification.
Does it work with Apple Find My?
Yes. It can be added to the Apple Find My app and located through the Find My network via local Bluetooth connection.
Does it work with Android?
No. Apple Find My features require an iPhone, iPad, or other compatible Apple device. There is no Android app or workaround.
Does it need a monthly fee?
No monthly subscription is required. The tracker connects to Apple Find My at no ongoing cost.
Can I replace the battery?
Yes. It uses a standard replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery, estimated at 8-10 months of battery life. CR2032 batteries are available at most convenience stores.
It will not pair. What do I do?
Reset it first: press the button 5 times rapidly, holding on the 5th press until you hear a chime. Then open Find My, go to Items, tap +, and add another supported item.
Can I use it for luggage?
Yes. It is suitable for luggage, backpacks, keys, wallets, and travel bags. The IP67 rating makes it safe for checked luggage.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. It is IP67 rated — dustproof and can withstand submersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Suitable for rain, splashes, and everyday exposure.
What is the Bluetooth range?
The effective Bluetooth range is approximately 10-30 meters (33-100 feet) in open space. Walls and obstacles may reduce range. This is short-range Bluetooth positioning only.
How loud is the ring?
The built-in speaker produces a 90-95 dB ring — loud enough to hear across a typical room or inside a bag. Comparable to a lawn mower at 10 feet.
What certifications does it have?
The HB02 carries FCC certification (FCC ID: 2AAXF-HB9909), CE marking for the European market, and RoHS compliance confirming no hazardous materials. You can verify the FCC ID on the FCC public database.
Can I track multiple items at the same time?
Yes. Each tracker appears as a separate item in the Apple Find My app. There is no limit on how many trackers you can add to your account.
How do I replace the battery?
Twist open the back cover, remove the old CR2032 battery, insert a new one with the positive (+) side facing up, and twist the cover closed. No tools required.
What are the dimensions and weight?
The tracker measures 36.9 mm diameter × 8.5 mm thick and weighs 9.4 grams — small enough for a keyring, wallet pocket, or luggage tag.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes. The HB02 is FCC certified and uses standard Bluetooth Low Energy, which is permitted on all commercial flights. Airlines allow Bluetooth trackers in both carry-on and checked luggage.
Does it have GPS?
No. It uses Bluetooth Low Energy, not GPS. It connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth and can be located through the Apple Find My network when other Apple devices are nearby.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to the United States only. Standard shipping is free and typically takes 3-7 business days after dispatch. International shipping will be announced in the future.
What is your return policy?
We offer a full refund within 30 days of delivery if the product is unused and in original packaging. If the product is defective, we cover return shipping. Email hello@itemfinderstudio.com to start a return.

Defective or Damaged Products

Non-Returnable Items
Items with physical damage caused by misuse (water damage beyond IP67 rating, intentional breakage) are not eligible for return.
Refund Method
All refunds are processed to the original payment method via Stripe. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Current orders are pre-orders. Estimated shipping begins within 2-3 weeks of order placement. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order ships.
